Common Questions

How do I know if I need shocks or struts?

Common signs are a bouncy ride that keeps going after a bump, nose diving under braking, leaning through corners, or uneven tire wear. The reliable way to know is a proper inspection on the hoist. We check for play and leaks and show you what we find.

Why does my steering wheel shake while I’m driving?

A few common causes: tires (either the rubber itself or a balancing issue), worn suspension components, or brakes. If the shaking only happens when you brake, that points at the braking system. All of these are safety concerns, so bring it in and we’ll figure it out.

Do shocks have to be replaced in pairs?

We recommend it. A new shock on one side and a worn one on the other gives you uneven handling, which is most noticeable exactly when you need control: hard braking or an emergency swerve.

Can worn suspension damage my tires?

Yes, and it’s one of the most common ways people lose a set of tires early. Worn components let the wheel move where it shouldn’t, scrubbing the tread unevenly. Fixing the suspension first protects the new rubber.
