Get to Know Butchs Automotive

Butchs Automotive technician working on a truck in the shop

Built on Tradition, Geared for Tomorrow

Butchs Automotive has deep roots in Abbotsford. What started as Daniel’s dad’s shop grew into a local go-to for honest repairs and friendly service. When Daniel and Samantha took the reins, they kept that same spirit alive while adding their own energy to the mix, creating a place where customers feel looked after, not just “processed.”

Butchs is expanding into new territory while holding tight to the values that built its reputation. It’s still the same trusted shop Abbotsford drivers have counted on for years, now with more room, more tools and the same straight answers.

Meet the Crew Behind the Cars

At Butchs Automotive, the work is only as good as the people behind it, and we’ve got a crew worth knowing. Skilled, approachable, and proud of what they do, our team combines years of hands-on experience with a genuine love for cars. Whether it’s routine maintenance or a custom exhaust, these are the folks who make it happen.

Daniel

Owner, Red Seal Mechanic

Daniel grew up with grease on his hands and a love for engines in his blood. Now the owner of Butchs Automotive, he’s a Red Seal Mechanic who can talk shop all day, especially if it involves hot rods or the perfect custom exhaust note. When he’s not at the shop, you’ll find him cranking tunes…anything but opera.
Josh

Head Technician, Level 4

Josh is the guy who makes impossible builds look easy. As Head Technician and a Level 4 powerhouse, he thrives on fabricating and wiring everything from cars to ATVs to trailers. If it’s got wheels, Josh can make it run smoother, faster, and better than before.
Ben

Technician, Red Seal Mechanic

Ben’s the kind of tech who lives and breathes cars, even his weekends are spent wrenching on his own collection of old rides. A Red Seal Mechanic with a sharp eye and steady hands, he knows how to keep classics alive and daily drivers dependable.
Justin

Apprentice Technician, Level 3

Justin’s already on his way up, working toward his Red Seal as a Level 3 apprentice. He’s as comfortable with a torque wrench as he is with a golf club, always chasing that perfect swing, whether it’s on the green or tightening bolts in the bay.
Scott

Service Advisor

Scott’s the first face most people see at Butchs, and he keeps the front desk running as smoothly as the shop floor. A walking encyclopedia of horror flicks (the cheesier the better), he’s quick with a grin, a bad movie quote, and the right advice to keep your car rolling.

Just went in for an oil change and ended up getting the most detailed inspection I've ever received at no extra cost. Previous mechanics have tried upselling services disingenuously, there was none of that here. I paid what I was quoted prior to my appointment, and quotes I received for all other needed work were totally fair and well explained. Daniel's fantastic, highly recommend.

I've had custom exhaust work done here numerous times now and each time I've been extremely satisfied with the final product. Dan is very easy to work with and his experience and passion for what he does is immediately apparent when you meet him. Great work guys!

Great and honest service.

Very professional. Daniel and the rest of the employees deliver excellent repair service. We had a problem with our Kia which no-one else could solve. It took Daniel 10 minutes. Since then Butchs Automotive is the only place we go for oil changes or any other repairs we need.

I have taken my vehicles for their regular services from the first time Butch's opened. First to the Surrey location and once Abbotsford opened to this location. I have always received fantastic Customer Service every time plus reasonable rates much better pricing than a dealership!
Wireway Electric Ltd

We’ve trusted Butch’s Automotive to look after our company vehicles, and the experience has always been excellent. Daniel and the team are professional, friendly, and fair in everything they do. They’ve been flexible with scheduling, which makes a big difference for a business like ours, and the quality of service has been fantastic every time. I would highly recommend Daniel and the crew at Butch’s to any business needing reliable fleet maintenance and care.
